Sengoku T-shirts for Parents and Children: Connecting through a shared love of history
When your child asks, "Who's that on your T-shirt?"
What story will you tell?
Yoshikuni is proud to present its new "Sengoku T-shirt" parent-child set, designed for families to enjoy together.
It all started with one pair of T-shirts
I, myself, sometimes wore a custom-made Oda Nobunaga T-shirt as a matching outfit with my daughter.
One day, a classmate of my daughter's saw us and expressed interest, saying, "That's cool!" From then on, my daughter gradually became interested in samurai generals and history.
That was the trigger for us to start watching the historical drama "Furin Kazan," which I had been watching for work. We especially rewatched the "Battle of Kawanakajima" episode many times.
It was truly enjoyable to answer my daughter's questions like, "What kind of person was Shingen?" and "Why were they fighting?"
It was a moment when our "parent-child time" naturally transformed into "time spent talking about history."
T-shirts that allow you to "talk about" Sengoku warlords
The parent-child set includes the following six graphics:
- Takeda Shingen
- Uesugi Kenshin
- Chosokabe Motochika
- Battle of Kawanakajima (ver.01 / ver.02)
- Battle of Sekigahara
Shingen, known for "Furin Kazan," and Uesugi Kenshin, who upheld righteousness—
Each T-shirt expresses the warlord's way of life and aesthetics through typography.
From a single word that piques your child's interest, a conversation about history naturally begins…
We've incorporated such a "gimmick."
Who is this parent-child set recommended for?
It's recommended not only for history-loving dads and their children but also for families who "want to learn about history together."
The T-shirts can be used as "clothes to accumulate memories" at weekend history events or castle tours, such as the Shingen-ko Festival, Kenshin-ko Festival, or Kawanakajima Festival, at actual historical sites and festivals.
